Ice fishing adventure
The kids had school off on Monday for professional development (whatever that is). Anyways Rocky decided he'd take the day off so he could take the kids to do something fun. His idea of something fun was ice fishing. Not my idea of something fun-- just my idea of something cold. For that very reason I don't go ice fishing with them. I assumed he was just planning on taking Jacob and Colton. Then he informed me that he wanted to take Clara and Levi also. I don't know where he gets these crazy ideas that he can take all four kids somewhere by himself and have a good time. I wont even take all four kids to the grocery store. So I agreed that he could take Clara; but taking Levi was just ridiculous. Levi hates the snow. And at some point he will need his diaper changed and he hates cold wipes. Anyways, Monday morning I was helping them get ready to go and I got this crazy idea to go with them. When I told Rocky his and Jacob's jaws about hit the floor. They were pretty excited. So I went and it wasn't too bad. Rocky has a pretty comfortable setup with his tent and heater. We all squeezed into the tent and fished for about 20 min. then everyone started getting restless. So the kids went in and out playing on the ice. Jacob was pretty serious about his fishing and Clara even stuck with it for a little bit. Colton was more interested in sledding down the hill. At first Levi wouldn't even leave the tent because of the snow. But after awhile he was right out there with the rest of them. It was kind of fun when we were all just sitting in the tent talking and laughing. I was just sitting there thinking holy crap we made all these kids, and this is our little family, and this is awesome.
This was our little hut for the day. Very cozy.
Clara fishing with her little pink pole.
Me and Levi- proof that I was indeed there
Rocky and Jacob- the more serious fishermen.
Levi peeking out of the tent. Not sure if he wants to go out.

What do you mean you don't go ice fishing I remember us begging to go and one time there wasn't enough room and our dads said if we wanted to go we had to ride in the back and we did. And we froze! I haven't been for a long time but shawn and the boys go all the time. It looks like you had fun.
looks like you guys had fun, these days are the ones your kids will remember when they get older.
Looks like FuN! But good thing you didn't catch anything...the water looks a little "nuclear" Is it usaully THAT green?
By the way HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I tried calling you earlier...but nobody answered. I will call you later, so we can plan a night out for dinner.
You are definitely A LOT braver than I am. I am not a cold weather person. However, if I knew that we were going to have as much fun as it looks you guys did; I wouldn't hesitate!
Gage can't wait to go fishing again with the boys! They have such a blast on the snowmobiles. Breed just goes to hang out I think! He says he can have the same kind of hook, same hole, same bait, and be right next to Rocky, but Rocky some how catches all the fish! :) :) :)
