Happy Thanksgiving

During this time of year it's hard not to be thankful for all I am blessed with, especially my family. I am grateful for all of you who bless our lives. We spent Thanksgiving in Vernal with my parents. With five siblings, we usually have a big get together. But this year only three of us were able to make it. It was fun for my kids to get to hang out with my sister Brenda's kids. After our big dinner the kids all made gingerbread houses. They had a lot of fun and I was impressed with how well they all turned out.

The day after Thanksgiving we headed up the mountain to cut Christmas trees. We do this every year. We love having a fresh tree. The kids had a great time. There wasn't much snow this year so the sledding wasn't great. But they got to ride Grandpa's four wheeler, roast marshmallows and hot dogs, and drink hot chocolate while we searched for the perfect tree. We cut six trees in all and we were cold and ready to head back.

Clara with cousin Karson playing in the back of Grandpa's truck

Colton with all the trees

Levi happy to be out of his snow clothes and in the warm truck.

The following day was time to visit family. Rocky has quite a bit a family in Vernal and we try to see as many as possible during the holiday. It's great to see everyone. It does get a bit stressful on the kids going from house to house and being warned to be on their best behavior.

Here Levi is with his Greatgrandma Searle. We enjoyed our visit with her. It was great to see her doing so well.

On Sunday we headed back to Lehi, a bit sleep deprived and grateful to be back home. We had a wonderful holiday. Now on to Christmas!

It looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We missed our family so much this year. I can't believe how much Levi looks like you!
