He was more evenly match with the next kid. They both fought hard. I was screaming on the side like one of those crazy over involved parents. Things like "push him down Colton, get on top of him." and all the things I yell at him and Jacob for doing at home. There were even strangers cheering for him. I think just because he was so cute and had a big smile on his face. He ended up loosing this match by 1 point. Aw man! I was proud of him for giving it a good effort.

And Now Weighing in at 53 Pounds... Colton Searle!
Colton had his first wrestling tournament of the season on Wednesday. For those of you who know Colton, you know that he is quite the goof ball. When it comes to sports he really hams it up. T-ball was so bad last spring that I swore I would not sign him up for another sport for a long time. Then I decided that maybe he needed something that was just his thing. He has always followed in Jacob's footsteps. So we singed only him up this year. So this was the big test as to weather he'd take it serious. He did pretty well. He was still a little goofy. Like he walked up to one of the kids in his weight class and said "Gage, I told you at school your going down." And when the other kids got in their stance and put on their game face, Colton pulled funny faces back at them.

This was the first kid Colton wrestled. He had a good 4 inches on him. He made short work out of Colton. He pinned him in the first round. It got to Colton a little bit. He walked over to me and said "I'm pretty sure he is 7." It was so cute.

And with double elimination that was it for him. He still went home with an awesome t-shirt! When asked if he had fun, he said "sure."

You guys start wrestling early we don't start till March. The high school just started and I'm kind of bummed because Jordan can't wrestle this year he has a herniated disk in is back hopefully he will get surgergy to fix it in the next couple weeks. He would be in a hard weight class he is 5'9" and 160 lbs and only 14. I used to hate wrestling now I kind of like it. I love to watch the little boys they are so funny.
Seeing those pictures of Colton just make me smile. It's not very often that you see a wrestler with a big ol smile on their face. Aren't they supposed to look mean and intimidating? It looks like he had a good time.
