Happy Birthday Colton/ Our trip to Fish Lake

I can't believe Colton is already 6 years old! For his birthday this year he wanted to go camping. The though of camping in a tent with Levi and Clara was a bit much for me so I decided to rent a cabin at Fish Lake. We invited Grandma and Grandpa Brunson and they also brought cousin Luke.

The cabin we rented was called the Buckskin. I must admit when we first walked in I was a bit taken back. It very small and very out dated. But after awhile it grew on me and I found it quite charming. It was very clean and cozy. It had everything we needed including a full kitchen and a hot shower. I decided this is my kind of camping. Clara fell in love with it and did not want to leave our little house.

We also rented a little fishing boat. Levi refused to wear his life jacket so I was a bit nervous and couldn't quit thinking about how I was going to save him when our boat flipped over. The kids all had fun on it though and the fishing was great from both the shore and the boat. Rocky took Clara out, just the two of them, and she caught her first fish on her little pink fishing pole. The weather was just perfect. I was glad to know we escaped a 100 degree weekend here in Lehi.

Levi was a bit difficult at times but the baby backpack helped. The last night we were there we had a fish dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's campsite and roasted marshmallows. It was a wonderful trip.
