I am so proud and thankful to live in America. I love this time of year when we get to celebrate all that we are blessed with in this country. Our Independence Day celebrations start the last week in June with the Lehi Round up. There are lots of activities to do all week. This year we went to the outdoor movie on Tuesday. It was held at the ball park by our house so we just walked over. This is the first year we have gone and it was so much fun. The movie was Alvin and the Chipmunks, one of my boys favorites. It was so nice to sit out under the stars with the family and watch the kids get to hang out with all of their friends. It was a late night though. We didn't get home until after 11:00.

And of course we also went to the Rodeo on Friday. Here are my three handsome cowboys all ready to go. It was a pretty good time. My favorite part was the presentation of the American flag. They had given everyone little flags as they came through the gates. When the flag was presented they had everyone stand and wave their flags as the music played. It was pretty touching to see all of those flags waving. Jacob and Colton's favorite part was probably the dirt bike intermission. These guys were going of this huge jump and doing crazy stunts in mid air. This is the third time we've seen them and they about give me a heart attack each time. I just hope my boys aren't getting any ideas.

Lehi has three parades. We went to two this year. On Thursday we went to the stock parade which is a whole parade of horses. Of course my kids love that. Then we went to the big parade on Saturday with Grandma Marsha. It was pretty good. It didn't seem as hot as years in the past. They threw out tones of candy which was a big hit with Clara. After she got a bunch she sat in the back of the van and ate piece after piece. We couldn't get her to get out. Jacob and Colton ran back and forth to sit with their friends and Levi just hung out with us.

On the actual fourth of July my sister, Brenda, hosted a family reunion at her house in Saratoga Springs. We made these cute little flip flops. The kids also made some sand art bottles. Which they were so proud of.

Rocky also made a little rocket launcher which shoots off watter bottles. So we had the kids make their own little rockets and then they got to launch them. They thought it was pretty cool.

We then had a great dinner and when it got dark we watched fireworks.

It was good to get together. The kids had a great time hanging out with their cousins.
Thanks Brenda!
