Happy 9th Birthday Jacob - and Baseball

Jacob turned 9 on Wednesday. He didn't want a party this year he just wanted to go do something fun with the family. He had a baseball game that evening so we decided to wait and do something the next day. He wanted to go to a water park but the weather has been so cool that we decided to go to Boondocks, a local place with go carts, mini golf, laser tag and such.

Well today was a very rainy day. We got our tickets for Boondocks but decided last minute to wait for a nicer day since most of the attractions are outside. Instead we opted for the Living Planet Aquarium. It was fun to spend the day together.

Then we came home and Rocky and Jacob shot their bows in the back yard. Jacob got this brand new bow for his birthday. He was so excited. He had been eyeing it at Cabela's. He thinks it's so cool that it's the same brand as his dad's. He's been making plans for going hunting with it.

Jacob is such a sweet boy. He is a big help to me with his younger siblings. He tries very hard to make good choices. I love him so very much. I just can't believe he is already 9!

Baseball

This year Jacob got to start little league. He was lucky enough to have his dad be one of his coaches. They both had so much fun. There was a lot to learn. Jacob improved so much over the season. He made many new friends. He played mostly outfield, but did get to pitch the last inning of one of their games. He struck out the first two and the third got out on first. He was on cloud nine. He had two games a week and practiced two times a week. So we were at the baseball field a lot. They didn't win a lot of games. But the kids had such a good time together. It was really fun to watch.
